Year of Queer Lit

Hey folx,

I’m so excited (and honestly a little verklempt) to announce that submissions are officially open for the 3rd Annual Year of Queer Lit Book Blast, happening August 26, 2026!

If you’re new around here, let me back up. The Book Blast started as a way to put queer books, written by queer authors, directly in front of queer readers, all on the same day, all in one place. No algorithm gatekeeping, no “but will it sell,” just a coordinated celebration of LGBTQIA+ stories across every genre you can imagine. Romance, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, horror, YA, memoir… if it’s queer lit, it belongs here.

One thing that’s always mattered to us: this isn’t a Kindle-exclusive event. Whether your book lives on Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, Nook, or anywhere else readers shop, it has a place in the Blast. We want readers finding your books wherever they already are.

Here’s how it works:

We’re offering three participation tiers so authors at every stage can join in:

• $0.99 tier
• $1.99 tier

Once you’re signed up, your book cover will be featured on our Book Blast page, where readers come specifically looking for their next queer read. We already have 150+ books signed up and counting, and there’s room for so many more.

Submissions are open now on a rolling basis, so there’s no need to rush, but the sooner you’re signed up, the sooner your book joins the lineup readers will be browsing all summer long.
