Sapphic September the last 2 weeks.

I was sick last Monday so didn’t get around to posting my sapphic reads. 😦 Better late then never though.

House of Hunger – Alexis Henderson Great vampire story, the last 40 or so pages were absolutely a could not put down situation. A very loose Elizabeth Bathory retelling, which is what drew me to the book.

Practical Rules for Cursed Witches – Kayla Cottingham A great YA book, where a girl coming into her own, has to go through her witches trial. Gets paired up with an unlikely partner and thus an adventure to break a curse. An great found family book.

Dear Wendy – Ann Zhao I would probably classify this as YA, maybe New Adult. Two student at a ivy league women’s college run rival Instagram accounts giving advise, Wendy and Wanda. Great Aro/Ace representation.

Of Tides and Snow – Darva Green A Sapphic Snow White retelling with pirates? Yes you read that one right…. This book completely sucked me in even though I am not a huge fan of Snow White. The authors take and twists were very refreshing.

Say A Little Prayer – Jenna Voris I wanted to like this one a lot more then I did. On tiktok the author pitched it as a slasher book where the MC was taking out a Christian summer camp in the theme of the 7 deadly sins. This is NOT what the book is… Christian Camp yes, discussion of the deadly sins, yes… slasher.. nope. It was a good audiobook just not what I was expecting.

Not Just Gal Pals – Elizabeth Luly ADORABLE, small town rom com. a LA influencer takes a break from life to go back to her hometown. She is pushed into a few situations with the local Dr and former classmate that she didn’t get along with. Super cute and refreshing.

The Lamb – Lucy Rose A Sapphic Horror book about cannibalism. Yup not joking there. Told from the perspective of the 11 year old daughter. Your stomach may flip and twist during this one.

Scrummie – Kitty Charing Dark Romance Sports Novella and international rugby star and the sports trainer. A very very quick read. The story has good potential and I could see this as a novel with work. But it needs some developmental editing and proof reading. The Spice was totally spicing though.

So what have you been reading?
