Year of Queer Lit

Hello, beautiful community!

Wow, what a day! On August 26, 2024, we held our first Year of Queer Lit: Stuff Your Kindle Day, and it was an incredible success! Thanks to all of YOU, our website saw over 30,000 visitors—that’s a whole lot of love for queer literature! We had countless downloads of over 140 book titles, each offered generously through authors’ personal websites and platforms. It was truly heartwarming to see so many people supporting queer stories and authors.

Now, let’s be real: not everything went off without a hitch. We faced some growing pains along the way, but growth is part of the journey, right? We’re taking those lessons to heart and working hard to make sure future events are even better.

And speaking of the future, I’m thrilled to share that our next Stuff Your Kindle Day is set for February 26, 2025, and this time, we’ll be shining a spotlight on Sapphic Lit! We’ll be kicking off a call for authors early next month, so keep an eye out if you’re interested in being part of this amazing celebration of queer storytelling.

Thank you for making this event so special, and for being part of our journey as we continue to uplift and amplify diverse voices. We can’t wait to see what magic we create together in February!
